LOGOS & UNIFORMITY

How to recognize Renault

Every car brand has its own emblem. Renault has had different logos throughout the years. It evolved into a diamond-shaped logo, with a name that again sounds best in French: Losange. What started as a simple plate made of bronze (a circular cap on the horn) ended as a 3D logo with an angular shape, just like the art-deco style of the bonnet in the twenties. This latest draft dates back from 1992. Only the Frégate, Colorale and the Dauphine had a somewhat different logo. You can find the logos on the bonnet, the hatchback, the hubcaps/rims and on the steering wheel. Every Renault carries such a logo.In the next overview you see all the Renault logos and you get an impression of how Renault looked like throughout the years. Further more you see photos of dealers, showrooms, repair-garages, transport, route service and some used kapitals.

The logo of 1973 is a symbolism of the crossing of the tracks of wheels of an automobile and a truck, both activities of the group in that time. This symbolism was stylized but kept ever since.
